Principal's Message

It is my honor to serve as the Principal at Vanguard Monet Elementary. I received my Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies and my Reading Master’s Degree from the University of Texas-Pan American (Rio Grande Valley). I have been an educator for the last 30 years.

I welcome you and your children with honor. At Monet Elementary, a school for the Fine Arts, Engineering, and Design we are fully committed to creating an extraordinary future for our students. If you are not part of our school, we invite you to join us and become part of our great Vanguard Family.

I love the promise of a fresh start and all the possibilities it offers for our students here at Monet Elementary, the potential of great success and achievement that this new year holds for their future.

As you know, we are a public charter school system that incorporates the fine arts as an integral component of our school life. At Monet, our students will have an opportunity to explore, discover, apply their learning, and express themselves through music. Aside from their core content, students will have physical education, enrichment, and an opportunity to be part of countless clubs, including STEM-integrated afterschool programs, art, robotics, UIL, and dance.
